Loyalty is faithfulness or a devotion to a person, country, group, or cause.

• staying loyal
• keeping respect
• staying passionate

Ways one would use it:

• respect others
• being supportive

Ways one would lose it:

• dishonesty
• disrespect

How it affects people:

• makes them respect you
• make them happy
• makes them trust you

• Humanity because humanity is about the way people act, people act loyal
• self worth because self worth is about the way you see yourself and you should also be loyal to yourself

This razor blade connects to the story because it could have been used to kill Captain Torres while the barber was giving him a shave but then the barber chose not to because he is a barber not a murderer. 

Brother Dear Response

      When Bernice Friesen created the dad in Brother Dear, she made him a static character. The father's views towards Greg missing his finals and dropping out of school never changed throughout the story. At the start of the story the author was talking about about Greg and the author said the Dad said "he has no ambition". And later on in the story in the story the dad is furious when he finds out Greg is dropping out of school.
       Sometimes I feel like Greg, I just don't want to do what my parents are forcing me to do. For example I already work at Sport Chek and my parents want me to apply as a Ski Instructor at Grouse Mountain in the winter. They say I should be a S.I.O.C. (Ski Instructor on Call) which doesn't exist. I really don't want to do it and my parents just don't get it. Working two jobs, school, family and my own skiing, I'm not prepared for a life like that. But hopefully in my book, my parents are dynamic characters. So they can change their opinion and really listen to me. Another reason Bernice Friesen made the dad the way he is, is because it makes for a better story. If the dad was ok with Greg missing his finals and dropping out of school there would be no conflict. So the dad made Brother Dear a better story.
